Find Purpose Through Working For Yourself

Did you know that women comprised 37% of all self-employed workers at the end of 2022 in UK?

Hi there! I'm Ayesha Murray, a career coach and partner coach with Careering Into Motherhood. As a successful business owner, I'm here to guide you through the process I went through as I left my 23 year marketing career to start my coaching business.

NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Ayesha Murray

Before retraining as a coach, I spent 23 successful years in marketing (with a few breaks which I’ll come on to!), ten years of which were as a full-time working mum.

During my corporate career, coaching was inherent to my leadership style. When I look at which parts of my job excited and energised me, it was always developing my team and helping them be the best versions of themselves. So when I re-evaluated my career and the opportunities available to me, coaching was a natural progression.

Early on in my coaching career, I realised that I was attracting working parents, generally from the corporate world. Helping them navigate the challenges of maintaining a fulfilling career alongside having a family is something I fully empathise with.

I meet amazing people every day; people like you, who believe that parenthood shouldn’t be a barrier to a successful career. I’m privileged to be part of their journey and when I see the transformation they’re creating in their lives, it’s truly uplifting.

And I started my podcast, The Parent Equation, to give working parents a voice and a platform to share their stories.

"I had a great session with Ayesha who was helping with my confidence after coming back from maternity leave. As a working mum herself she was empathetic and really listened to my concerns. She was constructive and supportive in helping me shape how I see my career going for the next 6/12 months. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing similar support."

- Jenni, senior marketing manager

"Ayesha is honest, kind and immensely supportive. Our sessions were always relaxed and open but challenging at the same time. My sessions weren’t just about talking - she gave me invaluable yet simple tools to get out there and make things happen and to confidently drive the changes I wanted in both my personal and professional life. I’m extremely grateful I had Ayesha’s support and expertise and would highly recommend her to any working parent."

- Natasha, marketing director

"Ayesha managed to cover a lot of ground in a short space of time during the webinar, it was thought provoking and I came away with some tangible actions to take forward."
